About the event

Elsbeth will be discussing the relationship between the New Space commercial sector and the U.S. military, both experiencing rapid expansion and structural changes in the past 5 years. The session will include a variety of the topics, from the history of the new Space Force, to discussion on how the U.S. ‘authorizes and supervises’ the commercial space sector.

Elsbeth Magilton is the Executive Director for Technology, Security, and Space Law Initiatives for the University of Nebraska College of Law where she oversees the development, growth, and operations of the new Nebraska Governance and Technology Center (NGTC) and the Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications Law program, established in 2008.
