Join the Space Law Council of ANZ for this member exclusive event with Squadron Leader Jaimee Maika. In this webinar, we will hear from Squadron Leader Maika, the current Australian Exchange Officer with the Combined Space Operations Center working for the United States Space Force as the Chief of Strategy. Squadron Leader Maika will talk to us about her career and experiences working in the Australian Air Force and exchange with the US Space Force

About Jaimee

Jaimee Maika is an air and space professional in the Royal Australian Air Force, the wife of an Australian Army Officer, and the mother of three daughters. She is currently embedded in the Combined Space Operations Center working for the United States Space Force as the Chief of Strategy. Jaimee is responsible for planning guidance to U.S. and partner space capabilities in support of global operations. In 2019, she was recognised as the inaugural winner of the Combined Force Space Component Command Field Grade Officer of the Year and a finalist for the United States Space Command Field Grade Officer of the Year. She is preparing for her next assignment at the prestigious School of Advanced Air and Space Studies in Alabama, before returning to Australia mid-2022. Jaimee grew up in New Zealand before immigrating to Australia as a young adult. She is a proud Te Arawa Māori woman of mixed race heritage, and a strong advocate for gender and race equality.
